Florida falls to Alabama for the 2nd time in the season, but unlike the OT loss in regular season, the Gators offer no fight this time. Florida scores on its 4th play of the game and then does nothing the rest of the game, allowing the Tide to take a 12-7 lead into the half after a pair of FGs and a 27-yard TD pass from Andrew Zow to Jason McAddley.

Leading 15-7 in the 4th, Alabama blows the game open on consecutive plays. Freddie Milons sprints 77 yards for a TD, and then on the next play from scrimmage Reggie Grimes rumbles 38 yards with an interception of a deflected pass.
