Oregon caps an 87-yard drive with a 10-yard TD pass from Joey Harrington to Keenan Howry to overtake Minnesota w/ 1:32 left. Harrington throws for 232 yards and 1 TD and runs for 2 more TDs to lead the Ducks.

Harrington had given Oregon the lead in the 3rd quarter with a 1-yard TD run. However, the Gophers struck back taking a 20-14 lead on Billy Cockerham's 7-yard TD pass to Ron Johnson on the 1st play of the 4th quarter.
