Texas rolls easily, outgaining Texas Tech 504-to-160 en route to an easy win, clinching a berth in the Big XII Championship game. Major Applewhite throws for 241 yards and 3 TDs and Hodges Mitchell adds 166 yards and 1 TD on the ground.

Applewhite sandwiches a 22-yard INT return for a TD by Lee Jackson in the 2nd quarter with TD passes of 25 yards to Montrell Flowers and 2 yards to Kwame Cavil in opening a 21-0 halftime lead for the Longhorns. Applewhite adds a 36-yard TD pass to Flowers, stretching the lead to 44-0 before the Red Raiders notch a score.
