Virginia Tech opens a 20-point lead and then hangs on as Pitt gets a huge game from David Priestley. Priestley throws for 407 yards and 1 TD to help the Panthers try for the upset.

However, the Hokies lead and running game prove too much. Andre Kendrick rushes for 162 yards, including 100 in the 1st half.
