East Meadow Jets edge Freeport in a shootout 35-34.

Big plays and big swings rule, but the Jets prevail with the final score. Mike Tracy's 11-yard keeper and a successful PAT wins it for East Meadow. Freeport had erased a 28-20 deficit in the 4th quarter when William Porter gets loose for a 37-yard TD run and then Shannon Robinson connects with Donnie Hodge on a 42-yard TD pass. However, East Meadow rallies against the Red Devils.

The Red Devils jump in fron 14-0 on a 69-yard run by Chris Edmond and then a 25-yard TD pass from Robinson to Hodge. East Meadow rallies, scoring 28 of the next 34 points behind the running of Tracy, Andrew Rubenau, Chris Bright and junior Alex Rivas (Lafayettte). Rubenau's 80-yard TD run late in the 3rd quarter gives the Jets a 28-20 lead.
