Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits overpower the Edison Chargers 42-28 for their 3rd straight South Section crown.

Hershel Dennis (USC) rushes for 158 yards and 3 TDs, including an 11-yarder that caps a 17-play drive and gives the Jackrabbits the lead for good in the 4th quarter, 28-21. He adds a 4-yard TD run to up the lead to 34-21.

Dennis powers the Poly ground attack, offsetting Edison's junior QB Tommy Grady (Oklahoma/Utah), who throws for 268 yards and 4 TDs.
