FAMU Baby Rattlers ride big defensive plays to a rally and 14-10 win over Victory Christian.

Three big 2nd half turnovers help FAMU erase a 10-0 lead by the Storm to capture the Baby Rattlers' 4th state championship.

Jeremy Thompson picks up a fumble on the 1st play of the 2nd half and returns it 21 yards for a TD. Victory Christian is driving for a score in the 3rd quarter when a fumble/strip ends the threat.

Then FAMU goes ahead when DB Jonathan Ferrell (Florida A&M) picks off a pass deep in Victory Christian territory and junior Richard Watson (Georgia Tech) converts it into a 14-yard TD run for the go-ahead score w/ 6:42 to play.

FAMU also includes sophomore G/LB Willie Ferrell (Florida A&M).

The Storm holds a 266-to-136 in yardage but is undone by 4 turnovers. Victory Christian strikes on the 2nd play of the game when WR/DB Art Evans (Tennessee) takes a end-around 71 yards for a TD.
