Junior Cyrus Gray (Texas A&M) proves unstoppable one last time, breaking loose for a 70-yard TD run on 4th-and-5 in the 4th quarter to put DeSoto ahead for good. Gray rushes for 256 yards on 22 carries with 5 TDs.

Gray proves to be DeSoto's answer for Abilene QB Spens Lackey, who runs for 2 TDs and throws for 2 more. DeSoto QB Terrance Wilkerson (SMU) rushes for 104 yards and throws for 88 yards.

DeSoto also includes WR Donavon Kemp (UTEP), WR Garrick Williams (Texas A&M), junior LB R.J. Young (Arizona), junior DB Adrian Bushell (Florida).
