Penn Hills Indians withstand Pittsburgh Central Catholic to advance with a 14-6 win.

The Indians get the best of a hard defensive battle as Eric Taylor returns a late INT for a 25-yard TD return with Penn Hills nursing a 7-6 lead over the Vikings. Taylor earlier gave the Indians the first lead with a 22-yard TD catch from sophomore Robert Fulton.

Pittsburgh Central Catholic responds with a 5-yard TD run by Lamont Smith (Colorado), but the ensuing PAT is blocked. Smith rushes for 108 yards on 20 carries, while Penn Hills is led by RB/LB Aaron Williams (Akron), who rushes for 82 yards.

The Vikings stage a late drive after Taylor's TD return, but the threat ends when sophomore LB Dan Mason (Pitt) sacks junior QB Tino Sunseri (Pitt).

Penn Hills includes DE Joe Rash (Akron) and CB Andre Freeman (Hofstra).

Pittsburgh Central Catholic includes LB Anthony Bailey (Maine), G Stefan Wisniewski (Penn State), junior RB/LB Dan Vaughn (Syracuse), junior DB Andrew Taglianetti (Pitt), junior TE/DE Quentin Williams (Northwestern).
