Game Notes

Don Bosco Prep Ironmen pull away for a 42-14 win over St. Peter's Prep

The Ironmen turn the tables on the Marauders after St. Peter's Prep controlled much of the 1st half, leading 7-0, in the 3rd consecutive matchup of the 2 powers for the New Jersey title. Don Bosco elects not to settle for a FG after a St. Peter's timeout with :13 left, with junior QB Brett Knief tossing the tying TD instead.

The 2nd half belongs to the Ironmen as sophomore Tony Jones (Colorado) leads the way with 138 yards and 2 TDs. Jones delivers the key blow with a 43-yard TD run off a fake punt in the 3rd quarter. The Marauders answer when QB/DB Will Hill (Florida) hits junior Nyshier Oliver (Tennessee) with an 80-yard TD pass.

Undeterred, DB/WR Steve Proscia picks off Hill on the next possession and returns it 30 yards for a TD.

Don Bosco includes LB Alexander DiSanzo (Boston College), K Brian Hanly (Hofstra), sophomore DE James Kittridge (Vanderbilt), sophomore LB Ryan Cobb (Virginia).

St. Peter's Prep includes junior OT Khalil Wilkes (Stanford), junior OT Sean Pearson (Wagner).
