Coldwater Cavaliers stage a huge rally, stunning upset of Cardinal Mooney 28-27.

Coldwater rallies from a 21-7 deficit with a pair of trick plays, then takes the lead before the Cardinals storm back with a final drive to score with :21 left, however, the PAT is blocked to seal the Cavaliers' win.

Sophomore backup QB Keith Wenning (Ball State) hits Ryan Geier on a receiver reverse pass for an 80-yard TD to cut the gap to 21-14 early in the 4th quarter. Then he takes a lateral before hitting Tony Harlamert with a 35-yard pass to the 1, setting up the tying score. After Cardinal Mooney fumbles on the ensuing possession, Coldwater scores the go-ahead TD on a 23-yard pass from Cory Klenke to Geier over Mooney DB Tim Marlowe (Nebraska).

However, the Cardinals storm back to draw within a point on Marlowe's 6-yard TD pass to Mike Gemma w/ :21 left. However, the PAT is blocked. Marlowe, starting for injured starter Dan McCarthy (Notre Dame), tosses a pair of TDs. RB/LB Brandon Beachum (Penn State) rushes for 191 yards for Cardinal Mooney.

Cardinal Mooney includes RB/DB Michael Zordich (Penn State), DE/TE Taylor Hill (Michigan), junior DT John Simon (Ohio State).

Coldwater includes junior LB/RB Adam Homan (Ohio State).
