Chicago surges after a slow start, to put away Miami in the Heat's 1st playoff game. Michael Jordan carries the Bulls, scoring 46 points while adding 11 rebounds and 9 assists. Jordan so dominates Chicago's attack, that Will Perdue is the 2nd leading scorer with 16 points off the bench in garbage time.

Miami started strong, leading through a good part of the 1st half before the Bulls open a 60-53 halftime lead. Steve Smith leads the Heat with 19 points, however, Glen Rice never gets off, hitting just 7-of-20 from the floor and hitting just 1 3-pointer.
