Denver matches Chicago through most of the 1st half, riding a hot start by Michael Adams. However, the wheels come off late in the 2nd as the Nuggets' play turns ragged allowing the Bulls to draw even 49-49 at the half.

Things get even uglier in the 3rd quarter as Chicago dominates 41-18 to break the game open. Michael Jordan finishes with 35 points, 17 rebounds and 7 assists. Horace Grant contributes 17 and Scottie Pippin adds 15.
