Philadelphia makes a 21-7 halftime lead stand up, with the help of Ike Reese's fumble recovery at the 2 with 2:25 left in the game prevents Arizona from threatening a comeback. Jake Plummer had sparked a late rally to upset the Eagles in the 1st meeting, his 6th rally against Philadelphia.

The Eagles' defense allows no such heroics this time. Brian Mitchell returns the opening kickoff 94 yards for a score, and then Donovan McNabb connects with James Thrash on a pair of TD passes in the 2nd quarter. McNabb goes 19-of-33 for 238 yards.
