Falcons beat the Saints 20-13.

Atlanta withstands a late rally by New Orleans, prevailing after batting down a final Hail Mary pass into the end zone as time expires. The Falcons jumped in front immediately, striking with a 57-yard TD pass from Chris Chandler to Alge Crumpler just 1:51 into the game and open a 10-0 lead in the 1st quarter.

The Saints answer and draw even with a 19-yard TD pass from Aaron Brooks to Cam Cleeland in the 2nd quarter. However, Atlanta responds regaining the lead on a 39-yard TD pass from Chandler to Shawn Jefferson early in the 4th quarter.

New Orleans cuts the lead to 20-13 on John Carney's 31-yard FG w/ :26 left and recover the onside kick but is unable to convert the desperate rally attempt.
