Saints can't overcome their mistakes in a 21-13 loss to the Giants.

New Orleans' desperate comeback attempt fails when a potential tying TD catch on the final play is negated by a pair of penalties, with Willie Jackson pushing off before catching the pass. It's the Saints 14th penalty of the game as they're more undone by undisciplined play than New York which draws 100 yards in penalties.

The Giants had led 14-3 on the strength of 2nd quarter TD runs by Ron Dayne and Tiki Barber, but New Orleans rallies in the 4th quarter, drawing within 14-10 on a 32-yard TD pass from Aaron Brooks to Willie Jackson. However, after opting to go for the PAT rather than 2-point play, the Saints try and onside kick and fail setting up Kerry Collins' 46-yard TD pass to Joe Jurevicius.

Dayne leads the Giants with 111 yards rushing in their 1st game back in New York since the 9/11 attacks.
