Falcons ruin Bill Parcells' debut as Cowboys coach, beating Dallas 27-13.

Atlanta patches together enough offense to overcome the Cowboys with some help from Dallas mistakes. Doug Johnson throws for 228 yards and 2 TDs and runs for another to lead the Falcons. Dallas commits 7 costly penalties, turns it over twice and misses a short FG.

Dallas leads 7-3 on Aveion Cason's 63-yard TD run, but Johnson's 7-yard TD pass to Warrick Dunn puts Atlanta in the lead. Johnson adds a 41-yard TD pass to Alge Crumpler sending the Falcons to halftime with a 17-7 lead.
