Los Angeles holds Tampa Bay to just 152 total yards while forcing 4 turnovers and rarely allowing the Bucs past the 50-yard line. Jim Youngblood's 25-yard INT return for a score early in the 3rd quarter is the finishing blow, giving the Rams a 24-0 lead.

Lawrence McCutcheon rushes for 79 yards, passing the 5,000-yard mark in his career, while adding a 4-yard TD reception. Pat Haden throws for just 123 yards, but 2 TDs, including a 51-yard bomb to Harold Jackson for a 10-0 lead in the 2nd quarter.
