Green Bay jumps out to a 24-0 lead in the 1st half and then holds off a huge 2nd half rally by New Orleans. The Saints' final threat dies on a failed 4th-down attempt in Packers' territory in the final 2 minutes.

Green Bay marches to a TD on the opening drive and then follows with a 75-yard punt return for a TD by Willard Harrell after the ensuing Saints' possession. New Orleans opens the 2nd half with 3 straight TD drives before the drive stalls out after Archie Manning's 59-yard TD pass to Henry Childs earlier in the 4th quarter.
