Philadelphia gets a pair of INTs in the final minute preventing New Orleans from converting an extra life into a tie. John Sanders picks Archie Manning for the 2nd time, the final one coming in the end zone with :05 left after Drew Mahalic intercepted Manning with less than 40 seconds to play, only to fumble on the return giving the Saints a 2nd chance.

Manning suffers 3 INTs, while Ron Jaworski counters for the Eagles with 3 TD passes, including a pair to Harold Carmichael. Jaworski breaks a 7-7 tie with a 5-yard TD pass to Carmichael in the 3rd quarter and extends the lead to 24-14 with a 16-yard TD pass in the 4th quarter. Wilbert Montgomery rushes for 104 yards.
