Game Notes

Cardinals rally to top the 49ers 13-10.

St. Louis gets enough offense from Ottis Anderson to rally for a winning score late. The Cardinals hold a 7-3 lead until San Francisco finally gets in the end zone on Steve DeBerg's 3-yard TD pass to Ken MacAfee early in the 4th quarter.

However, St. Louis manages to answer for a 6-yard TD run by Anderson. Anderson rushes for 129 yards as the Cardinals overcome the quarterbacking of Steve Pisarkiewicz, who does much to prove former coach Bud Wilkinson was right keeping him on the bench. Pisarkiewicz throws for 91 yards after owner Bill Bidwell mandates he start, and fires Wilkinson due to his sticking with Jim Hart.
