Minnesota overcomes a late San Francisco rally when Sammy White jumps on a fumble by Ahmad Rashad, who lost the ball en route to a 25-yard TD pass from Tommy Kramer w/ :17 left in the game. Kramer and Rashad had already hooked up on 3 TD passes in the 2nd half as the Vikings overcame a 9-0 lead by San Francisco.

After the 3rd TD hookup, the 49ers rally on a 44-yard TD pass from Steve DeBerg to Freddie Solomon followed by a 4-yard TD run by Lenvil Elliott to reclaim a 22-21 lead. Kramer throws for 297 yards with Rashad catching 7 passes for 152 yards.
