Seattle beats Denver on a late TD bomb from Jim Zorn to Steve Largent, and by withstanding 3 straight 4th down plays by the Broncos, preserving the win. Denver, battling with San Diego for the AFC West title, suffers a set back when Largent beats Louis Wright with a fake, and hauls in 43-yard TD pass from Zorn w/ 1:40 left.

Zorn and Largent had hooked up on a 35-yard TD pass to take a 21-20 lead in the 3rd quarter. However, the Broncos regain the lead on Jim Turner's 29-yard FG.

Zorn finishes 22-of-39 for 282 yards and 2 TDs. Sherman Smith adds 2 TD runs in the 1st half. Craig Morton throws for 245 yards and 1 TD, but comes up empty on 3 4th down passes in the final minute after 2 offsides penalties offer additional chances.
