Saints stop the Redskins for 14-10 win.

New Orleans denies Washington in the final minutes after the Redskins have 1st-and-goal on the 2, but Elios Grooms forces Joe Theismann out-of-bounds on 4th down to preserve the win. Its 1 of 7 sacks by the Saints.

The Redskins appeared headed for victory after a blocked FG precedes the long drive that ends in the defensive stop. Washington had cut the lead to 14-10 on Theismann's 1-yard TD run in the 2nd quarter. But both defenses dominate in the 2nd half.

New Orleans builds a 14-3 lead when Archie Manning connects with Wes Chandler on a 45-yard TD pass in the 1st quarter, and then a 19-yard hookup sets up Tony Galbreath's 2-yard TD run in the 2nd quarter.
