Slim hopes exist after Lions beat the Bucs 27-14.

Detroit keeps alive long-shot wildcard hopes with the victory after Minnesota wraps up the NFC Central earlier in the day. Gary Danielson is a likely hero for the Lions, with Ray Williams being the unlikely hero against Tampa Bay.

After David Logan picks up a fumble and rumbles 60 yards for a TD in the 1st quarter, Billy Sims answers with a 1-yard TD run for Detroit. Danielson, who throws for 360 yards, hits the rookie Williams with a 22-yard TD in the 2nd to put the Lions ahead.

The Bucs close within 20-14 on Doug Williams' 32-yard TD pass to Kevin House in the 4th, but Ray Williams then returns the ensuing kickoff 90 yards for a TD.
