Washington claims just its 2nd victory of the season, holding St. Louis to just 229 total yards and forcing 3 TOs. Joe Theismann throws for 307 yards and 2 TDs to lead the Redskins.

Washington scores all its points in the 1st half, building a 10-0 lead in the 1st quarter on the strength of Theismann's 5-yard TD toss to Clarence Harmon. He adds a 36-yarder to Ricky Thompson in the 2nd quarter. Harmon, who has a 115 yards combined rushing/receiving, adds a 20-yard TD run.
