Falcons hold off the 49ers for a 20-17 win.

Atlanta delivers San Francisco its 1st loss despite a big 4th quarter rally, as Steve DeBerg throws for 345 yards and 2 TDs, including a 93-yarder to Freddie Solomon that sparks the rally. The 49ers draw within 3 on DeBerg's 27-yard TD pass to Earl Cooper, but their realistic hopes end when Atlanta recovers the onside kick.

William Andrews carries the Falcons, rushing for 98 yards, but Atlanta holds just a 6-3 lead until the 4th quarter when Steve Bartkowski hits Alfred Jackson for a 10-yard TD pass before Lynn Cain adds a 2-yard TD run.
