Washington gets 5 FGs from Mark Moseley and uses 3 INTs and 5 sacks of Archie Manning to stall New Orleans. Moseley hits 3 of 4 FG attempts in the 1st half to open a 9-0 lead.

After Jimmy Rogers narrows the deficit to 9-7 with a 10-yard TD run late in the 2nd quarter, Moseley adds a 4th FG before Joe Theismann finds Ricky Thompson for a 26-yard TD pass. Wilbur Jackson rushes for 87 yards and Art Monk catches 5 passes for 75 yards to pace the Redskins.
