Cincinnati blanks Minnesota, for the Vikings' 1st scoreless effort since a 1973 meeting between the teams. The Bengals are able to harass Tommy Kramer behind the rush of Ross Browner and Eddie Edwards, holding Minnesota to 168 yards.

Cincinnati gets on the board with Pete Johnson's 1-yard TD run in the 1st quarter, and then Ken Anderson beats the blitz, hitting Don Bass for a 55-yard TD pass in the 4th quarter. Anderson hits 21-of-28 for 270 yards, while Bass catches 7 passes for 110 yards. Johnson rushes for 115 yards.
