Buffalo wins at the Orange Bowl for the 1st time since the 1960s when Joe Danelo hits a 36-yard FG late in OT after Uwe von Schamann had missed twice for Miami in OT. The Bills had tied it on a 1-yard TD catch by Joe Cribbs on 4th down in the final minute of regulation.

Joe Ferguson engineers the win, hitting 38-of-55 for 419 yards and 5 TDs. Dan Marino makes his starting debut, throwing for 322 yards and 3 TDs with Mark Duper catching 7 passes for 202 yards and 2 TDs.
