Green Bay withstands a big rally by Minnesota to force a first place tie with Detroit and Minnesota. Lynn Dickey tosses a pair of TDs and the Packers take advantage of Viking mistakes to take a 19-0 lead.

However, Minnesota's mistake-prone dormant offense wakes up in the 2nd half, pulling within 22-21 on Tony Galbreath's 4-yard TD run in the 4th quarter. However, the Vikings make a critical mistake turning a 3rd-and-2 near midfield into 3-and-17 when too many players are in the huddle. The drive stalls and the Packers drive for a 19-yard TD pass from Dickey to James Lofton to seal the win.
