Packers slip by the Cardinals 24-23.

Green Bay hangs on for the opening day victory despite being heavily outgained by St. Louis. The Cardinals come up short when Neil O'Donoghue hooks a PAT badly and comes up short on a 45-yard FG attempt with less than 3 minutes to play.

The Packers took a 21-7 lead on Lynn Dickey's 1-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter, but the Cardinals rally with the help of a 3-yard TD run by Ottis Anderson and an 18-yard TD pass from Neil Lomax to Roy Green in the 4th quarter. Lomax finishes 25-of-35 for 270 yards and 2 TDs.
