St. Louis had rallied from a 23-7 halftime deficit behind Neil Lomax's passing in an effort to clinch the NFC East and a playoff berth.

Lomax hits 37-of-46 for 468 yards, connecting with Roy Green on a pair of TD passes as the Cardinals score on all 4 2nd half possessions prior to the final missed FG. Green catches 8 passes for 196 yards while Ottis Anderson has 12 for 124 yards to offset a stalled running game.

Art Monk catches 11 passes for 136 yards and 2 TDs, setting the NFL season-record with 106 catches, the final one setting up Moseley's game-winning FG. Joe Theismann throws for 298 yards and 2 TDs.
