After giving up an early TD, Denver dominates San Diego to stay unbeaten. The Broncos control the ball for almost 39 minutes, limiting Dan Fouts and the Chargers.

Denver puts together a pair of 80-plus yard FGs to stretch a 10-7 halftime lead to 24-7. John Elway throws for 242 yards and a TD. Gerald Willhite catches a 3-yard TD pass and then adds a 1-yard TD run. Mike Harden returns a punt 41 yards after the ensuing possession for a 31-7 lead.
