Washington overcomes 3 quarters of lethargy, awaken by a dumb penalty to erase a 14-0 deficit. Down 14-0 late in the 3rd quarter, the Redskins catch a break when Seth Joyner body slams Jay Schroeder at the of a sack at the 3 yard line, drawing an personal foul and giving Washington new life.

The Redskins then proceed to drive for a 26-yard TD pass from Schroeder to Clint Didier. Schroeder then draws Washington even with a 2-yard TD pass to Don Warren. George Rogers follows a turnover with a 5-yard TD run for the go-ahead score.

Philadelphia had jumped in front 14-0 in the 1st quarter before its offense went into a slumber.
