Dallas makes Tom Landry's final win a significant one as Steve Pelluer throws for 333 yards and 3 TDs to knock bitter rival Washington out of playoff contention. Pelluer's final TD pass comes after Robert Williams picks Mary Rypien for the last of 5 turnovers by the Redskins.

Washington had rallied from a 17-3 deficit with a 40-yard TD strike from Doug Williams to Ricky Sanders and then a 55-yarder from Rypien to Terry Orr. However, the Redskins' defense is unable to stop Dallas' attack which piles up 444 total yards, with Herschel Walker rushing for 98 yards and catching 2 passes for 33 more yards.
