Raiders deny mistake-prone Chiefs 27-17.

Kansas City outgains Los Angeles 334-to-223 despite Bo Jackson's strong debut for the Raiders. But Los Angeles forces 4 turnovers, and the Chiefs miss out on points on an INT in the end zone late in the 1st half and then again when a 95-yard return by Paul Palmer for a TD on the 2nd half KO is called back for a penalty.

Jackson rushes for 70 yards and a 1-yard TD run, matching 1-yarders by Steve Smith and Marcus Allen. The Raiders lead 14-10 when another Kansas City mistake breaks the game open as a punt bounces off Kitrick Taylor's helmet directly into the hands of Stefon Adams deep in Chiefs' territory. Los Angeles cashes it in for a 4-yard TD pass from Steve Beuerlein to Trey Junkin.
