Detroit dominates, holding Tampa Bay to 5 first downs until Joe Ferguson and Mark Carrier combine on a 69-yard TD pass on the final play of the game. Barry Sanders rushes for 104 yards and 1 TD, breaking Billy Sims' franchise record for rushing yards in a season by a rookie.

Bob Gagliano tosses a pair of 1st quarter TD passes, including a 55-yarder to Jason Phillips, opening a 14-0 lead. Phillips catches 10 passes for 115 yards. It's Detroit's 4th straight win.
