Lions upend the Bears 27-17.

Detroit eliminates Chicago from the playoff chase for the 1st time in 6 years as Barry Sanders dominates. Sanders rushes for 120 yards and 2 TDs, and catches 3 passes for 39 yards to help the Lions win their 3rd straight.

Sanders' 2nd TD, a 3-yard run in the 3rd quarter opens a 24-10 lead for the Lions. Meanwhile, Detroit's defense sacks Bears' quarterbacks 5 times and shuts down their running game.
