Game Notes

Cowboys turn the tables on the Eagles 22-13.

Dallas wraps up a wild card with big special teams plays and a defense that sacks Jeff Kemp 6 times, after Philadelphia had sacked Troy Aikman 11 times in the 1st meeting. After a safety on a kickoff helps the Cowboys open a 5-0 lead, Kelvin Martin puts them ahead for good with an 85-yard punt return for a 15-10 lead in the 4th quarter.

After a miserable first half, Steve Beuerlein rebounds in the 2nd half and gives Dallas a 22-13 lead with a 4-yard TD pass to Michael Irvin. The Cowboys manage just 210 total yards but are able to control the clock as Emmitt Smith rushes for 75 yards.
