Giants drop the Cowboys 22-9.

New York capitalizes on the breaks to beat Dallas. The Giants convert a pair of Emmitt Smith "fumbles" into FGs, the first coming when a dropped pass is ruled a fumble. New York gets another key break when a defender is engaged with a blocker during a scramble and its somehow ruled 'defensive holding' giving the Giants 1st-and-goal, setting up a 1-yard TD run by Rodney Hampton for a 13-3 lead.

The Cowboys draw within 16-9 in the 3rd quarter, but New York puts the game away with a 35-yard TD pass from Jeff Hostetler to Mark Ingram. Hostetler completes 14-of-22 for 182 yards.
