Dallas dominates the stats and collects 3 turnovers, but fail to put away Green Bay until a time-consuming drive after Blair Kiel hits Sterling Sharpe with a 13-yard TD pass drawing the Packers within 3 in the 4th quarter. Troy Aikman hits 31-of-41 for 287 yards and 1 TD.

The Cowboys capitalize on a pair of INTs in the 2nd quarter with Ray Horton returning the 1st 65 yards for a TD and then Aikman hits Jay Novacek with a 13-yard TD pass following Isaac Holt's interception. Emmitt Smith adds 122 yards rushing.
