Falcons sink the 49ers 39-34.

Atlanta hangs 39 points on San Francisco, the most allowed by the 49ers since 1980. The Falcons jump in front 17-0 before San Francisco rallies turning the game into a back-and-forth contest.

Steve Young's 57-yard TD pass to Jerry Rice ties it 20-20 in the 3rd quarter, but Deion Sanders returns the ensuing kickoff 100 yards for a TD. After Harry Sydney's 5-yard TD run ties it again, Chris Miller hits Andre Rison with a 1-yard TD pass for a 33-27 lead.

San Francisco takes the lead for the 1st time on Young's 7-yard TD run in the 4th quarter. However, Atlanta answers with a long drive for Norm Johnson's go-ahead FG, a 44-yarder.
