Kansas City overcomes a sluggish offensive performance with a strong defense that forces 6 turnovers and holds Atlanta to 243 total yards. Kevin Ross is the big star, picking off Chris Miller 3 times.

After the Falcons put together a strong opening drive for a FG, the Chiefs put the brakes on Atlanta. Kansas City converts a fumble recovery into a 27-yard drive capped by Christian Okoye's 4-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter. Okoye rushes for 143 yards on 22 carries, and sets up Steve DeBerg's 6-yard TD pass to Emile Harry in the 4th quarter.
