Lions keep the Colts winless 33-24.

Detroit capitalizes on Indianapolis miscues and rides Barry Sanders to the win. Sanders rushes for 179 yards and 2 TDs on 30 carries.

The Colts jump in front 10-0, but the Lions take the lead on Sanders' 2-yard TD run early in the 3rd quarter. After a punt pins Indianapolis at the 1, Jerry Ball tackles Eric Dickerson in the end zone for a safety and 16-10 lead. Detroit then scores on an 11-yard TD pass from Erik Kramer to Willie Green to break the game open after the ensuing free kick.
