Game Notes

Lions wake up, beat the Packers 21-17.

After staggering through 3 quarters, Detroit steps up in the 4th quarter to erase a 10-7 deficit and clinch a playoff spot against Green Bay. In frigid conditions, game time temperature being 9 degrees, the Lions' offense seems frozen.

However, Detroit takes the lead on Erik Kramer's 3-yard TD pass to Robert Clark early in the 4th quarter. Mel Gray then returns a punt 78 yards for a TD following the Packers' next possession. The Lions manage just 206 total yards, with Barry Sanders accounting for 98 yards.
