New England answers a 14-point rally by Houston with an 83-yard drive in the final 1:52 to win it on Hugh Millen's 34-yard TD pass to Greg McMurtry w/ :06 left. Originally designed to set up a tying FG, the play turned dramatic when McMurtry juked 2 defenders and then broke a tackle en route to the end zone.

Millen, making his 1st start, was 22-of-33 for 244 yards but also suffered 3 INTs allowing the Oilers to stay in the game to make a 4th quarter rally. Houston tied the game on a pair of TD passes from Warren Moon to Curtis Duncan in the final 10 minutes.
