Game Notes

Cowboys manhandle to Eagles in a 20-10 win.

Dallas' defense shuts down Philadelphia, getting Randall Cunningham yanked from the game, holding the Eagles to just 190 total yards. Meanwhile, Emmitt Smith pounds Philadelphia's defense 30 times for 163 yards, becoming the 1st RB to top 100 against the Eagles in 54 games.

Despite the statistical landslide, the game is tied 10-10 in the 3rd quarter after Jim McMahon sparks Philadelphia for a TD drive and an INT results in a Roger Ruzek FG. However, the Cowboys re-establish control behind Smith's running, answering with a go-ahead FG before pulling away on Troy Aikman's 14-yard TD pass to Daryl Johnston in the 4th quarter.
