Nick Lowery hits a 33-yard FG to win it after Howie Long recovers Steve Young's fumble deep in NFC territory. The AFC had taken a 20-13 lead in the 4th quarter when Terry McDaniel chases down a blocked FG attempt and returns it for a TD.

The NFC rallies to tie it with Young's 23-yard TD pass to Rodney Hampton w/ :10 left in regulation. But the NFC can't overcome its mistakes, which include 6 turnovers and 2 blocked FG attempts. The mistakes allow the AFC to overcome a 472-to-114 disadvantage in total yards.
