The Cowboys draw first blood on a blocked punt for a safety and then Smith adds a 5-yard TD run for a 9-0 lead. When Washington finally gets on the board, Dallas answers with a 26-yard TD pass from Aikman to Alvin Harper, and special teams provide the finishing touch when Kelvin Martin splits the Redskins' coverage for a 79-yard punt return TD and 23-7 lead in the 3rd quarter.
